Qwest wireless dsl?

by DSLModem on May 23, 2010

I just had a neighbor move and she wanted me to set up your computer and the Internet. She Qwest DSL with wireless modems (here's the link to the modem) http://www. Qwest. com/internethelp/modems/gt701-wg. What is a USB wireless card or adapter must be able to connect to the modem. T she needs to buy a Qwest or brand will work? Please tell me where I can get it. Thank you.

The data sheets are unavailable, but any 802.11G adapter should wotk. If you’re not afraid of opening the computer case, I’d recommend http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2470730

It’s good, it’s cheap and it’s available all over. Wifi is wifi – it’s a standard – so she doesn’t need any special Qwest card. But I’d stay away from USB adapters – the antennas are usually pretty small, so the signal strength isn’t great.
